Nice coverage. What does a begginer cutoff look like for the above, where its acceptable or preferable to fade them out for alternatives? Esp the barbell dlift and squat.
Great article and seems very timely for me. I have long legs compared to my torso, am 6’3 and have very poor flexibility. Squats and deadlifts are extremely difficult for me and also seem to put a lot of strain on my lower back unless I really limit my range of motion. I’m doing the beginner split and was in a rush and hurt my lower back squatting in Lower 1. I’d like to substitute out both squat and deadlifts from your beginner split, what exercises would you recommend I do instead for that program?

Very person to person dependent, more or less you’ll know
Good breakdown. Looking to do less of the big three. Have actually started using machines with weights lately

What are the best alternatives for each?
