Great read.

There’s never been an easier time to get ahead, with most people falling for the quick dopamine trap.

yep, not only bc of outright less competition but also if you are able to monetize that knowledge... i.e. what fast food companies (amongst many others) have done for decades.

Great read Ox. Can apply it to fitness and delaying gratification by trying to get quick results and burning out

Great, thank you. I loved the information about dopamine and long term gratification. I jarred with the label ’mediocre’. It feels judgemental. I’m working on recognising how being judgemental hurts us just as much as the person we are judging.

This works for everything in life. But sometimes everyone needs a catalyst, something that pushes us to make the decision and never look back, maybe your GF cheating on you, fat shaming, low energy or feeling lost / depressed. We must channel this into positive habits.
