This is our final installment of our 3 part beginner series. After this guide you will have all the knowledge you will need to take your health and fitness in your own control. Anyway, onto this guide, this will teach you the basics of supplementation that will aid in your performance in the gym, improve your overall health, provide greater longevity, and even improve cognitive performance.
Great stuff Ox. I’ve never been a mid-workout supplement guy as I always found the dudes carrying around a gallon jug at the gym to be a bit much but this guide makes me think I should change that
Great stuff. Being a physiology major this is more detailed than a majority of the fitness “gurus” out there. Favorite animal from the jungle thus far! Let’s get these gains. 😃
No. Multi vitamin is just your basic micronutrients you can find mostly in a well rounded diet. These are very specific with very specific uses. I’m not sure any of these supplements would be in any multi.
Based on studies it is potentially worthwhile as an anti-catabolic, preventing the loss of muscle in caloric deficit, especially when in a fasted state.
Not worth it as an anabolic, it doesn’t really do anything special to promote the growth of new muscle mass.
If any, such a negligible amount it’s wouldn’t even matter, no.
I like the Gorilla Mode preworkout. The doses are so good, they match what I’ve put here almost exactly. Gorilla Mode Nitric is an amazing non-stim preworkout/pump product. The Gorilla Postworkout is another fantastic supplement. Can be used as intra or post workout with a protein shake.
For outside the gym I like to stack Gorilla Mode Energy and Gorilla Mind Smooth for a potent nootropic!
There a certain brand or brand you would recommend? I know you mention particular ingredients to look for in a pre/intra/post workout supplement, but some supplements also have other things added/maybe aren't as effective. I know in the comments below you mention gorilla mind, so I'm assuming that would be one of them?
I'm a little lost here. I'm working my way up the archive from the beginning and it says this is the third and final article on supplements, yet it appears to be the first one? Where are parts 1 and 2?
I'm taking Zinc because apparently that helps boost your immune system and fight off Covid. I've also heard it can boost your Test. My test went from 350 to 477 after a few weeks of taking Zinc regularly.
Hey ox - my sis in law is insisting on going vegetarian and I know she isn't going to do a good job at balancing her diet. Anything specific you would recommend for a woman in her early 30s? fairly active (7k-10k steps a day, yoga, Pelton etc)

Intra is definitely worth it! You’ll never see me without my bottle of my intra formula during a lift
And what's the formula you recommend? Is it just the EAA you recommended from True Nutrition?
EAAs + HBCD both from true nutrition

Great stuff. Might be naive to ask but how would these supplements compare to a well rounded multi vitamin?

Any thoughts on HMB?

Great thanks for the tip!
Thoughts on Creatine accelerating hair loss Ox?
Also what are your opinions on the Gorilla Mind products and which would you say are best value?
If any, such a negligible amount it’s wouldn’t even matter, no.

Much appreciated! 🙌

Gorilla Mind is my favorite. Trained By JP nutrition is great if you’re in the UK. HD Muscle is expensive but extremely high quality.
Any suggested brands, as well as a rough figure about what to consume day to day?
Very informative article, thank you! How often do you take breaks between using supplements, especially brain and mood?
I'm a little lost here. I'm working my way up the archive from the beginning and it says this is the third and final article on supplements, yet it appears to be the first one? Where are parts 1 and 2?
Part 1 is a workout program, part 2 is a diet guide, part 3 is this
Ok. Thank you for clearing that up!

how much are you taking each day in mg?
This is great. Any preference on greens powder brand and best time to consume?
I use Garden Of Life Super Greens. I take mine with the rest of my supps about 20-30 minutes before my first meal
Thanks Ox! Appreciate everything you’re doing for the jungle. Unreal value. 👊
Good stuff Ox. Would these dosages apply to young adults, too? I'm thinking in the realms of 16-17 years of age?
Any good articles on bovine extract effects? Haven’t been able to find much
when is the best time to consume all the longevity/brain supplements?
That’s a big “it depends”
Brain supplements for focus obviously make sense before working, something like ashwaghanda after working.
If it doesn’t have an acute effect it really doesn’t matter when you take things like vitamins and minerals.
thanks for the quick reply
Hydration is important especially when working out for 2 hours.

Thanks ahead of time 🙏
