The most impactful part of this journey is the realization of how out of shape I am. Having taken pictures from 3 angles today (retaking tomorrow - thought they were going to be due today), I realize how insanely out of shape I am, and how ashamed I am to be out of shape. Was feeling fine until I took the pictures.
I hope everyone else who has this realization feels the same fire I did to absolutely rock the 90 day challenge. The money doesn't matter (nice prize, but not the goal), at this point I need the transformation. I refuse to live below my potential. Onward and upward!
Yes, Skunk! Dad Bod images incoming! Not ashamed, but feel pretty good for being 20 years out of shape; to be fair, I have had highly physical work until the last 5 years, or so. Came home so tired most days back then if I came home at all (all night overtime BS)...The early 40s are kickin in hard. All the red in my beard is turning white...so, it's mostly white besides this wierd booger dark hairs, and a foo man on one side. damn it! I was working in Panama City the last few days. The wife was out of town, so I took the kiddos. (they are 11-16) let them play on the beach while I work. Anyways, they took some AMAZING DAD-BOD beach photos that I would like to submit as the first photos. marked Sunday, 6-27-21. That ok with everyone? My daughter asked me to take a pic of the sunset, because it was so 'amazing' I sent her the pic of me she took. lmao
I'm currently 140 and 5'9. I have been fairly skinny but never been able to see my abs. I am not skinny fat and I'm definitely at a low bf. I don't really know if I store more fat in my stomach than in other places but I would like to have abs. Is it possible to have abs while trying to gain muscle and not look like a stick or would I have to go through the whole bulk and cut process?
You definitely don’t have to do the cut and bulk process in the traditional sense.
You can also keep your abs while you grow, but you’re going to have to track what you eat and keep it to a slight surplus. Some fat gain is inevitable, but you can limit it definitely by keeping your surplus on the lighter side.
At the end of the day though, can’t carve a pebble!
Do the pictures taken have to be relaxed or flexing?
