Great article Ox. Will DeFinitely try sleeves and supplementation.

I will say for me personally, I’m only sore if I’m coming back after a >2 week hiatus or if my recovery (sleep or protein intake) is off.

I have never had DOMS if I’m eating 200 g of protein daily, sleeping >7 hours a night and not boozing heavy.

man, i am doing like 0.6-0.7G of protein for a pound of body weight, I am not sure if I can get 225Gs in a day. I am already full as fuck after having two shakes a day and having three meals. Any noticeable difference in pushing it up to 1G per?

Nice article man. For me, muscle soreness is the highest after a leg workout. Usually lasts 2 days after workout day. Ive been trying to be a lot more active (more walks) post leg workout day which helped a bit. Im definitely gonna try the cold shower idea next time.

Great article. Only really get bad DMOS after my lower split. Currently doing a heavy day Tuesday then a hypertrophy day Thursday. Is squatting, leg pressing, deadlifting, and then doing ISO’s too high demand for one session?

To me that seems like a bit too much on legs, that is overkill on the compounds, and deadlifting on days you squat are probably too much for the CNS

Okay, would deadlifting tuesday and squatting Thursday be sufficient for progressing each lift if I’m only doing 2 sets till failure?

Good stuff as always, Ox. Funny bcs I literally yelled to my wife this am as I was going to take a dump that I could barely squat onto the can. Happy Friday, fam.

Nice article ox. Just started this substack a couple days ago. DOMS applies to BJJ as well. For the first 2 months of 2022 I was doing multiple sessions per day and it takes time for the body to adjust to that kind of work load.

Just had to stop training at that kind of work load recently because I have other things going on in my life now.
